Limit: Big Bet, playing $1/$2. stats are kept vs the $2 (the larger of the two bets allowed)/100 hands
NL: Big Blind, playing $50c/$1. stats are kept vs the $1 BB/100 hands.
Used these two examples because the blinds are actually the same.
This needs confirmation, but I think that the BB/100 that PokerTracker gives you (even in regards to NLHE) is equivalent to a Big Bet AKA 2 Big Blinds.
I don't think I understand what you're talking about.
One BB provided by PokerTracker is a unit of monetary measure, usually equal to 2 Big Blinds.
In other words, if your BB/100 on $25max as shown by PokerTracker = 5.55,
you are earning 5.55 * 2(.25) = $2.775 per 100 hands.
I am one of the few who doesn't use poker tracker around here so I guess I cannot comment on which it produces. On the spread sheet I use to track my rates I use the big blind since I usually play NL and is easier for me to follow and make sense of it.
By defult PokerTracker uses Big Bets for BB/100. If you are a NL player you can go to prefrences and change it to Big Blinds.
Also the BB/100 is used to measure the long term profit/loss. On my speadsheat I put it with my session statistics to the far right as one of those 'interesting' statistics that are nice to keep.
Right. BB, as defaulted by PT = "big bets" (2x the big blind), a standard usually reserved for talking about limit play. For NL, you would usually state your results as bb/100 (vs. BB/100), meaning "big blinds" won per 100 hands.
