AM vs. PM Early morning vs Late night

When do you find you are at your best or the opponents are at their worst?

I have had a strange schedule the last couple of weeks and have gotten my poker fixes at different times of the day. I have noticed that the people who play locally late at night are far more loose aggressive than at other times.

Example is a 45 person NLHE SnG's at stars. I play them in the afternoon and they can take about 2+ hours to play. I play them late at night and we were down to 14 or 15 at the hour break and done in 1 hr 20 minutes. I played 3 of them like that and they were with different people for the most part.

I also noticed that PL Omaha hi/lo vary greatly between morning and night players. I make alot more money in the morning than I do at night. I have to really grind and wait for good hands to scoop to do well in the evenings. The mornings are so easy to pick people clean in 20 minutes.

Anyone else find a time of day that works best for them at the games they play?

Lunchtime is fairly loose, but first thing in the morning can be good too - a few people playing before heading off to work, and others in the states who have come back from the pub and are drunk.

Great Thread.......I find late Friday night is the best for me. Lots of fish or drunk people I don't know but that's the "profit" time for me. Then I just lose it to CC players during the week.

Excellent post titans, I to find I make more money playing O8 in the mornings also than compared to nights, I don't know why this is but my first morning game is O8, maybe its because in the mornings I am more aware and well rested to play my game. when i do play at night i find myself questioning myself why the hell did I sign up for this game when I am dead tired.

Late night play

I've found out that the players at late night are far loser than the players in the daytime. More people who play for money are doing it in the normal hours of the day. Late night my winnings have been at 34% cahses in 5 table sng's day time is 16% hhmmm. I use two different log in names and checked the info on one of those see who your playing sites. Just thought I'd put my two cents out there.

It depends which site I'm playing at. I'm in England which is generally five hours behind EST, so if I play at a site which has predominantly European players then what you guys are saying makes sense. However, when I play at a site with a lot of American players, such as Full Tilt or Pokerstars, then a lot of the players will be less tired than I am.

re: AM vs. PM Early morning vs Late night

Being a complete night owl I tend to play alot in the middle of the night. I play holdem at FTP and during the day and early evening there is alot of quality players (along with an endless amount of suckout artist donks). But in the middle of the night it is lovely. It tends to be australians and various people from the other side of the world(if from U.S.)And I'm not talking trash about australians they have plenty of great players, but I tend to have my way with them in the wee hours of the night. Before all the aussies get mad let me explain. I'm a very conservative player. And a well trained aggressive player can tend to get to me and put me on tilt. The aussies though seem to be polite. They don't bully, if i got the nutz I don't have to worry about slow playin or nothin I just bet and they call, bet and they call, bet and ........... well u get the point.
