WSOP.ca is capitalizing on its recent success in Canada by giving locals the chance to win one of three bracelets this month.

The three bracelet events are open to registered users in the Canadian province of Ontario and will cost between CA$150 and CA$1,050.

Adding bracelet events to this month’s MTT schedule comes after data revealed that WSOP.ca is now the largest online poker site in the recently regulated region of Ontario.

WSOP.ca making big moves in Ontario

Cash game traffic on the WSOP’s network is currently averaging a peak of 335 players, over 100 more than its closest rival, PokerStars ON. This puts WSOP.ca on par with the largest licensed poker sites in the US, which is notable given that the app only launched on Sept. 30, 2022.

An initial selection of WSOP Circuit events got underway on October 1. Now, with traffic reaching new levels, three WSOP bracelet events have been added to the schedule:

  • The BIG CA$150 Ontario MILLION$ – $100K GTD – Final Day, October 23
  • The CA$210 Omaholic Bounty MILLION$ – $100K GTD – Final Stage, October 30
  • The CA$1,050 GGMasters Online Championship – $250K GTD – Freezeout, October 30

Each event has multiple starting flights and anyone aged 19+ in Ontario can join WSOP.ca and enter.

This is the first time players in Ontario have been able to win WSOP bracelets online since new gambling regulations came into effect. What’s more, the $1,050 GGMasters event will set the record for the largest guaranteed prize pool in Ontario’s regulated market.

WSOP.ca is supplementing the bracelet MTTs with a selection of side events and satellites. Side event winners won’t get a WSOP bracelet, but there are four and five-figure guaranteed prize pools to play for.

WSOP goes global with bracelet events

Creating three new bracelet events isn’t just a feather in WSOP.ca’s cap. The innovations are also helping expand the WSOP’s global footprint.

COVID-19 restrictions in 2020 and 2021 forced the company to offer bracelet events online. US events were added to WSOP’s networks in New Jersey, Nevada, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

GGPoker, the WSOP’s digital partner, now hosts international bracelet events. And, most recently, WSOP.ca is offering players in Ontario’s ring-fenced market opportunities to win some bling.

The advent of WSOP Online events has made bracelets more accessible to players around the world. Some critics believe this has devalued them. Others have applauded the innovation.

Regardless of people’s opinions, the WSOP is an international operator. That means giving as many people as possible, including Ontarians, the chance to win bracelets online.
