There was more action going on at the Rio on Wednesday than in a Ron Jeremy video. Five-time WSOP champion Allen Cunningham is among the remaining players in the Big 50, Maria Ho is bracelet hunting, and two players took down separate events.
Scott Clements, one of the more underrated players at the WSOP, won his third bracelet in the $1,500 Dealers Choice for $144,957. He defeated Timothy McDermott heads-up for the title. The runner-up out of 470 entries took home $89,567.
Clements doesn’t get the recognition of many other WSOP greats but he should. The former mortgage broker has 55 career cashes in the Las Vegas summer series for over $3 million and three bracelets.

Jeremy Pekarek, from Sycamore, Illinois, won a bracelet in the $600 No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack for $398,281. It was his first ever bracelet and his tenth World Series of Poker cash.

Not only is Ho one of the top female players in the game, but she is also a talented broadcaster for Poker Central. So talented that she won the Broadcaster of the Year award at the 2018 GPI Global Poker Awards.
Imsirovic is one of the best young players in the game. Heck, the 24-year-old might just be the best player in the world…period. The final table should be exciting to watch.

Big 50: Allen Cunningham Just Keeps on Trucking
Allen Cunningham was considered one of the best players in the world during much of the poker boom era. The former Full Tilt Poker pro has, unlike many of the greats during that era, continued to shine on the big stage.
With just 127 players out of 28,371 entries remaining in the $500 Big 50, the largest poker tournament in history, Cunningham is still standing and is searching for his fifth career bracelet.
Amer Torbey has the chip lead with 32,500,000. Cunningham isn’t too far off that pace with 20,575,000. The winner of this massive event will take home $1,147,449.
CardsChat News strategy columnist Steve Selbrede went out in 624th out of the 5,972 who started on Day 1B, which was good enough for a $918 payout.
Day Four began at 11 am on Thursday. We’ll finally have a winner in the Big 50, eight days after it started, on Friday. Or, at least that is the plan.
