The 2021 WSOP Europe schedule is out and it features 15 gold bracelet events from Nov. 19 to Dec. 8, with at least €11,500,000 up for grabs.
Last year’s series, like most major poker events in 2020, was canceled due to the pandemic. The Las Vegas WSOP, normally in the summer, has been moved to the fall — Sept. 30 to Nov. 23. As soon as that series concludes, play will shift to King’s Resort in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, for the European leg.
A little something for everyone
The WSOP Europe schedule includes just nine No-Limit Hold’em tournaments, along with one NLH/Pot-Limit Omaha mix. Additionally, there will be three PLO events, an 8-Game Mix, and a Short Deck tournament. Buy-ins range from low-stakes (€350) to high-stakes (€50,000), but there are no super high rollers on the schedule.
Play begins Nov. 19 with the €350 buy-in 2021 WSOP Europe No-Limit Hold’em Opener featuring a €300,000 guaranteed prize pool. The series concludes on Dec. 8 with the final table of the most prestigious event of them all — the €10,350 Main Event. This year’s Main Event promises at least €5 million in the pot.
In between those dates, there are a few key events, such as the €50,000 No-Limit Hold’em Diamond High Roller (Dec. 2-3), a €2 million guaranteed bracelet event. The €550 Colossus, a smaller version of the annual low-stakes tournament at the WSOP in Las Vegas, runs Nov. 24-30, and a share of at least €1 million will be up for grabs.
As always, points accumulated during the WSOP Europe series will count toward the 2021 World Series of Poker Player of the Year race. For more information, you can view the full WSOPE schedule.
