Buzz around this year’s World Series of Poker (WSOP) is starting to heat up as players from around the world will flock to Nevada with hopes of winnings millions and gaining significant fame. This year things will be a little different in the Silver State, as now players can also play on the state’s Internet poker sites.

And in anticipation of the WSOP kicking things off soon, WSOP.com will celebrate with a special tournament promotion dubbed the WSOP.com High Roller Series.

Seven Events and $200,000 Guaranteed

The WSOP.com High Roller Series will start on Sunday, May 25 at 8 p.m. Pacific Time. Only players within Nevada’s state borders will be allowed to participate.

The tournament series consists of seven events that range in buy-ins, starting at $215 and topping out at a reasonable $530, well below most “high roller” expectations. The website, which is run by Caesars Interactive Entertainment, has guaranteed $200,000 across all seven tournaments combined.

The first event, as mentioned previously, will be played on Sunday, May 25 at 8 p.m. online. The buy-in is $215 and is a No-Limit Hold’em tournament with a $10,000 guarantee. The next day, on Monday, May 26 at the same time, a $215 No-Limit Hold’em Re-Entry event will take place with a $15,000 guarantee.

The prize pool will swell even more in Event #3, played on Tuesday, May 27 as a $215 No-Limit Hold’em Re-Entry plus Add-On tournament with a $20,000 guarantee. The stakes will jump even higher with a $30,000 guarantee in Event #4, a $215 No-Limit Hold’em Re-Entry plus Add-on played the next day, Wednesday, May 28. On Thursday, May 29, WSOP.com will then host a $320 No-Limit Hold’em Re-Entry tournament with a $35,000 prize pool.

The final two tournaments will have the two biggest guaranteed prize pools. In Event #7, players will pay $530 to play in a No-Limit Hold’em Re-Entry plus Add-on tournament that will boast a $40,000 guarantee. The WSOP.com High Roller Series will then conclude the next day on Saturday, May 31 with the No-Limit Hold’em Main Event tournament. The finale of the series will cost $530 to enter and have a $50,000 guarantee.

Satellites are Running Now

The site is currently hosting a slew of satellite tournaments for players to enter in order to win their way into one of the seven High Roller Series events. The site has stated that satellite tournaments “will be running around the clock throughout the month of May,” and that players can win their way into any one of the events for just $11. The site has posted the full satellite schedule on the official WSOP.com website.

About WSOP.com and the World Series of Poker

WSOP.com is owned and operated by Caesars Interactive Entertainment (CIE) and operates real-money poker sites in New Jersey and in Nevada. According to industry watchdog website PokerScout, the site receives a 24-hour peak of 215 players in real money cash games and has a seven-day average of 110 players. WSOP.com uses 888 as its software provider.

The 45th annual World Series of Poker will start up on Tuesday, May 27 at the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas with the $500 Casino Employees tournament. The same day, a $25,000 Mixed-Max No-Limit Hold’em event will also take place. This year there will be a stunning 65 gold bracelets handed out to tournament winners, with an expected $200 million to be won during the course of the entire series in Las Vegas. It has already been announced that the 2014 WSOP Main Event champion will take home at least $10 million.
