Ali Imsirovic took down another Las Vegas high roller, this one in US Poker Open Event #5, $25,000 No Limit Hold’em for $442,500 on Monday. In Event #6, $25,000 Pot Limit Omaha, Stephen Chidwick made his fourth final table of the series and seeks his second title.
Imsirovic, the 2018 Poker Masters champion, now has three high roller titles since September. He’s one of poker’s top rising stars.
But no one is running as hot as Chidwick in this series. He’s the defending US Poker Open champion and has an opportunity on Tuesday to overtake Sean Winter for the 2019 series lead.
Tough Final Table
Imsirovic was big stacked throughout much of this event. He took a big chip lead into Monday’s final table and never squandered that lead. But he had to earn the title, facing some talented pros.

Brandon Adams (seventh for $73,750), Chris Hunichen (eighth for $59,000), and Justin Bonomo (ninth for $44,250) also cashed in this event.
But Imsirovic was the star of the show from start to finish. Wearing one of his famous Dragon Ball Z shirt throughout the tournament, the Bosnian made quick work of his tough final table opponents.
The final table featured two businessmen who have carved quite a niche within the poker community – Cary Katz and Dan Shak – and two of the top high-stakes pros in the game – Nick Petrangelo and Kristen Bicknell.
A total of 59 entrants registered for Event #5, creating a $1.475 million prize pool.
Stephen Chidwick Might Be Unstoppable
Stephen Chidwick is on an insane heater at the US Poker Open. And his dominance in the series dates back to last year when he was crowned champion.
In the inaugural US Poker Open, he won two of the eight events and cashed in three others. This year, he’s already guaranteed his fourth cash in just six events and also won a title in Event #1, $10,000 No Limit Hold’em for $216,000.
Chidwick takes a massive chip lead to the final table on Tuesday in Event #6, $25,000 Pot Limit Omaha with six remaining players.

With a third place or better finish, Chidwick will tie or overtake Sean Winter atop the US Poker Open leaderboard. Winter currently leads with 440 points, 100 better than Chidwick who is guaranteed at least 40 additional points and can earn as many as 200 points, good enough to take the lead.
