The season of online majors welcomed another event over the weekend in the form of the Super High Roller Bowl.
With every high-profile tournament organization currently hosting online MTTs, Poker Central’s premium product entered the mix on Friday.
Running on Partypoker until June 2, the series consists of 28 high-stakes events. First out of the gate was a $10,300, No-Limit Hold’em showdown.
Digital Conversion Doesn’t Hurt Super High Roller Bowl
Super High Roller Bowl events have become popular since the inaugural series in 2015, and moving the action online due to coronavirus lockdowns hasn’t dampened players’ enthusiasm. Event #1 saw 76 of the game’s best fight for a $216,000 top prize.
Jans Arends made a little history as the first winner of the online series. Coming back after the first day with the second-largest stack, he managed to outlast Alex Foxen and Ben Heath to win his first Super High Roller Bowl title on Sunday.

With the online torch lit, it was time for the iconic Viktor Blom to captivate the masses watching via PokerGo. Lining up in Event #2 ($25,500 Super High Roller), Blom was able to beat all but one of the event’s 54 entries.
The final table on Partypoker was another who’s who of the game. Super High Roller Bowl Russia champion Timothy Adams was one of the main threats, alongside fellow champ, Daniel Dvoress. Also there to spoil Blom’s party was MTT veteran Chris Hunichen.
In fact, it would be Hunichen who disappointed the rail and stopped Blom from winning. That result earned Hunichen a $479,250 payday and paved the way for a final flurry of action on Sunday.

Another $10,300 showdown saw 59 players compete for the lion’s share of $590,000 on Sunday. Again, the final table was littered with talent and, this time, it was Sergi Lloveras Reixach who emerged victorious.
Beating Mike Watson and former number #1 ranked MTT pro, Andras Nemeth, Reixach raked in $191,750 for his efforts. He also brought a successful opening weekend of action in the Super High Roller Bowl Online Series to a close.
