Phil Hellmuth and Antonio Esfandiari are considering playing a heads-up poker match. But more than money will be at stake. If the game is played, and that has yet to be determined, the winner will get to taser the loser.

Esfandiari has long offered this challenge but the “Poker Brat” has never accepted. But it appears, per a series of tweets, that Hellmuth might finally be interested in proving his heads-up prowess.

Neither player has officially agreed to any wager yet, however, but it could be the heads-up match of the century i the poker greats come to terms.

Just What the Poker Community Needs

Phil Hellmuth versus Antonio Esfandiari. All-time WSOP bracelet record holder (15) against the player with the biggest score in poker history ($18.3 million in the 2012 Big One for One Drop). Two legends of the game with over $50 million in combined live tournament cashes. What more could you ask for in a heads-up match?

Well, for starters, a bunch of money will be on the line. And if that isn’t enough to pique your interest, you’ll also get some side entertainment.

Esfandiari, who recently defeated comedian Kevin Hart in a boxing match, has long fantasized about tasering Phil Hellmuth. It seems like he might finally get his wish years after first offering the challenge.

A Hellmuth versus Esfandiari match could take the poker community’s mind off the constant bickering about markup. It certainly couldn’t hurt. And, worst case scenario, we’ll all get to witness either Phil or Antonio get tasered. This heads-up match needs to happen and let’s all hope it’s televised somewhere.
