Partypoker’s Millions series is stepping back onto solid ground after a stint online with a summer festival in Barcelona.

Like all live tournament series, Partypoker Millions was forced to play out online in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19. However, with restrictions in European countries now either minimal or non-existent, the tournament team is back out on the road.

A variety of local events have taken place across the continent since the start of 2022 and, with summer approaching, Partypoker is heading to Spain for 11 days of poker action.

Casino Barcelona to host Millions Europe

Millions Europe will run from June 2 to 12 and include a selection of low, medium, and high buy-in tournaments. Topping the bill is the €3,300 ($3,500) main event.

The first of four starting flights will begin on June 8. From there, two additional days of play will see a Millions Europe main event champion crowned. Satellites starting at $0.01 are now running on Partypoker and the final line of side events for the Spanish series will be announced in due course.

One thing Millions Europe won’t be is a hybrid event. Partypoker began trialing live/online crossover events earlier this year as a way of transitioning out of COVID-19 restrictions. Although the Partypoker Championship Malta and the UK Championship were a success, Millions Europe will play out exclusively in a live setting. The good news for fans of online tournaments is that the return to live events doesn’t mean an end to Millions on Partypoker.com.

Tournament action continues live and online

Millions Online: The Knockout Edition, will take place on Partypoker from May 5 to 31. The series is entirely made up of progressive knockout tournaments, which is a first for the Millions franchise.

For Partypoker, Millions isn’t only a flagship tournament series — it’s a testament to innovation. Despite two years’ worth of lockdowns and restrictions, Millions continued to offer tournament players guaranteed prize pools and trophies. Now, with live poker back up and running, players have the opportunity to enjoy poker in some of the world’s best casinos.

And, for those who ante up at Millions Europe, that means a trip to Casino Barcelona in June.
