Ali Imsirovic, Shawn Daniels, and Sean Perry all took down high-roller poker tournaments at the Venetian in Las Vegas this past weekend.

Venetian hosted three high-stakes tournaments this weekend, all part of the new PokerGO Tour. Buy-ins ranged from $10,000 to $25,000, and the turnout was quite high considering the steep cost of admission.

On Friday, Imsirovic won his fifth high roller of the year. The young Bosnian poker star took down the $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em event, beating out 77 entrants, for $200,200. Daniel Negreanu finished in 12th place, one spot shy of the money. Daniels took second place after losing heads-up to Imsirovic, good for $146,300.

The next day at the same casino, Daniels performed just a bit better, taking down a different $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em tournament. This one attracted 66 entries, meaning that Daniels’ win earned him a tidy $175,500 — the biggest cash of his poker career. Sergi Reixach, who’s been crushing the high-stakes circuit for the past year, took second place, good for $130,000. Cary Katz, Sean Winter, and Seth Davies were among the 10 players who cashed.

Accused Scammer Ships One

Sean Perry has many detractors in the poker world — Dan Colman, Doug Polk, and Haralabos Voulgaris among them. But, his apparent lack of popularity doesn’t stop him from competing in high-roller poker tournaments, sometimes against those same players. On Saturday, the gambler took to the felt again, winning the final event of the Venetian series, a $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em tourney. He earned $365,500 for beating out 43 players, seven of whom cashed.

With his second high-roller win of the year, Perry added 219 PokerGO Tour points and now has 1,150 for the year. He’s currently in second place behind Imsirovic, who now has 1,416 points. Speaking of Imsirovic, he locked up yet another cash, this one a fourth-place finish for $118,250.

The PokerGO Tour is a brand new high-stakes circuit that strives to determine the top high roller in poker each year. Tour events take place all around the world, not just in Las Vegas, although it is the host city of most high-roller events.

Perry winning the PokerGO Tour would certainly be a bit controversial. He’s been accused by other poker players of running poker and gambling-related scams on multiple occasions. Dan Colman recently accused Perry, the son of Ralph Perry, of scamming him out of hundreds of thousands of dollars in a daily fantasy sports wager.

Perry hasn’t addressed the accusations publicly and Colman has remained silent about the incident for the past few weeks, at least on social media.
