PokerStars’ $15 million TCOOP announced.

PokerStars’ fastest festival of the year, the Turbo Championship of Online Poker(TCOOP), has just been announced and this year there will be at least $15 million on offer between January 22 and February 1.

Not only that, but unlike some of PokerStars’ virtual championships, such as WCOOP, buy-ins for TCOOP will be varied to ensure as many players as possible get a chance to start their 2015 with a bang.

A Plethora of Options

As ever, this year’s TCOOP will feature a $700 Main Event with a $2 million guarantee, but flanking the marquee MTT will be 49 additional tournaments.

Entry fees will start from $27 and scale up to more than $2,000, but to make the series even more accessible, PokerStars is offering a slew of satellites. For those with an eye for a bargain, qualifiers will start from as little as $0.11 or a single FPP and should be on display inside PokerStars’ lobby from today.

Aside from the Main Event, players will be able to take part in a selection of Hold’em, Omaha, Draw, Stud and Mixed Game events during TCOOP 2015, including the following:

TCOOP 01: $27 NL Hold’em [6-Max, Re-Entry] – $500k GTD

TCOOP 03: $215 NL Hold’em [Progressive Super-Knockout] – $800k GTD

TCOOP 09: $215 NL Hold’em [Turbo, Zoom, Re-Entry] – $400k GTD

TCOOP 11: $215 NL Hold’em [Heads-Up] – $250k GTD

TCOOP 29: $215 NL Hold’em [6-Max, Shootout, Progressive SKO] – $150k GTD

TCOOP 32: $7.50+R NL Hold’em [3x-Turbo] – $300k GTD

TCOOP 35: $82 PL Omaha [4-Max] – $100k GTD

TCOOP 46: $215 NL Hold’em [Ultra Deep, 50,000-chip stacks!] – $500k GTD

TCOOP 47: $2,100 NL Hold’em [High Roller] – $1.25m GTD

TCOOP 48: $320 8-Game – $100k GTD

More Speed, More Money

Commenting on TCOOP 2015, Jake Cody explained that the speed of each event is what makes this festival such a draw for pro players.

“TCOOP is an awesome series because the tournaments are so quick and varied. You don’t have to be up all night to win some huge money, and the range of formats and game choices is so diverse. I haven’t won one yet but will be giving it my best shot,” Cody commented.

As well as prizes for individual TCOOP champions, PokerStars will also be rewarding the top 100 performers of the series. Every time a player cashes in an even they will be awarded points based on the buy-in, the size of the field and the position they finish.

Anyone that’s in the top 100 at the end of the festival will receive a Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) ticket worth at least $109. Moreover, the player that manages to outperform everyone else will receive a TCOOP Player of the Series trophy and a ticket to the next SCOOP [H] Main Event worth $10,300.

Qualification for PokerStars’ TCOOP 2015 is currently underway and satellites will continue running throughout the series.
