Bellagio in Las Vegas Bringing Livestream Poker to Twitch

3 min read

When the Bellagio, the most iconic casino in Las Vegas, gets on the bandwagon with Twitch, the trendiest poker livestream video platform, you know something sexy is cooking. The former announced recently that it will be presenting livestream cash games on its own Twitch page starting the end of April.

Poker players all over the world can catch a glimpse of mid-stakes cash games hosted in one of the world’s most famous poker rooms. The action can be viewed weekly on the ‘BellagioPOTS’ Twitch page starting April 26. Cards will be in the air each Wednesday at 7 pm PST right up until the start of World Series of Poker at the end of May (see the specific schedule in boxout below).

The poker room hasn’t released details on how players in Las Vegas can get in the game. But the schedule for the first five weeks is as follows:

April 26: $2-$5-$10 No-Limit Hold’em ($500-$2,000 buy-in)

May 3: $2-$5-$10 No-Limit Hold’em ($500-$2,000 buy-in)

May 10: $2-$5-$10 No-Limit Hold’em ($500-$2,000 buy-in)

May 17: $2-$5-$10 No-Limit Hold’em ($500-$2,000 buy-in)

May 24: $10-$20 No-Limit (possibly bigger) ($800-$5,000 buy-in)

The weekly live stream will conclude on May 24 until “after the summer,” according to a Bellagio poker room Twitter post. The exact return date is unavailable at this time, but will likely be soon after the WSOP summer session wraps up.

Living the Dream

Playing poker at the Bellagio is on nearly every poker player’s bucket list. The 37-table card room hosts daily low and high stakes cash games and tournaments.

The famous Bobby’s Room is located inside the Bellagio poker room. This room, named after 1978 WSOP champion and casino executive Bobby Baldwin, plays host to some of the biggest games in the world. Players such as Doyle Brunson, Jennifer Harman, and Daniel Negreanu have been regulars in Bobby’s Room over the years.

The casino hosts an annual WPT event each December. The $10,000 buy-in Bellagio Five Diamond Poker Classic always brings out the top poker players in the world.

But impecunious grinders know you don’t need Doyle’s bankroll to get in a game. There are dozens of low-to-mid stakes games running daily.

Live at the Bike

Bellagio’s upcoming live poker stream will be the first emanating from the Las Vegas Strip. But it won’t be the first major casino to televise live cash games.

Southern California’s Bicycle Club has a popular show called Live at the Bike. This cash game show airs four times each week. The limits range from low stakes ($2-$3 blinds) to high stakes ($25-$50 blinds or higher).

Live at the Bike attracts many types of poker players, from low stakes grinders to top pros such as Doug Polk and Alec Torelli. Well-known commentators David Tuchman, Ryan Feldman, and Bart Hanson are regulars in the booth.
