On average, my favorite tournaments last 2 to 5 hours. This is the optimal playing time for me, because after 5 hours of playing, I just lose patience and can't stay focused.

Most of my favourite tourneys are in dayytime for me, but I still prefer to play in night, no annoying noises, screaming machines, talking heads disturb me. It is quiet, I liked to work also in the nights, alone, it is the same..... even in break times, I can really relax a bit, smoke a cigarette in quiet peace.... the system,horde slaves are turned off....
By the way, the long tourneys start for me from 10 hours +

Most of the guaranteed prize tournaments take place during the evening hours CET. The biggest events of the week usually take place on weekends. On the one hand, a lot of players flock to these tournaments, which means that it is often harder to get into the prizes in such tournaments. Although this opinion can be challenged, since a lot of amateurs take part in such large fields, at whose expense you can increase your stack and comfortably go into the money. On the other hand, playing small tournaments off peak hours can be quite a win-win in the long run.
