I like rebuy + add on. More money.

Also freezeouts. Everyone same opportunity.

poker stars used to have a daily freeroll for 1000 dollars, the most favorite of freerolls, as well as sinday storm top

I like small entry tournaments with large prize pools. If you get into the middle of the prize pool, then this is already a great success.

Not Rebuys

I hate rebuys so I avoid them like the plague. I like ones where you buy in and when you bust your out.

my favorite tournament is also the Progressive KO, it decreases the variance and the emotion of eliminating player.

I like MTT tournaments where the blinds grow every 10 minutes. This format is the most optimal for me and according to my statistics the most profitable.

They are also my favorite tournaments, especially the Zoom HU total KO tournaments. The possibility of making a profit just by eliminating a player gives an extra thrill to the game

My favorite tournament is Progressive KO. What about your's?
My also is progressive KO but with 6 maximum people at the table and minimum is 5000 chips stack. This is the best format I think for this kind of game. Before I liked also KO sit and goes with 18-24 max in poker stars with short stack.

I don't really have a preference but I like it when it's a turbo tournament without rebuy and especially to be able to play it by qualifying with a satellite.

I like different tournaments, especially freerolls, but in most cases I prefer Sit & Go tournaments or MTT tournaments.

The Progressive Knockout format is the best thing BY FAR to ever happen to tournament poker.

It's just too bad that it's pretty much an online-only format. I have heard that a live casino DID run a progressive knockout tournament, but I have no idea how they kept track of the bounties, most likely they kept track online while the live tournament was running. LOL

PKO's promote action. Nobody plays poker so they can fold for hours and hours. Players play poker because they like playing poker!! PKO's encourage people to get in the ring and mix it up.

The payout for winning a PKO can be massive, larger than a regular freezeout prize structure if you crush the FT and sun-run it.

There's only one real drawback to the PKO format and its a drawback I just don't care about (for me it's not a drawback)... and that is the fact that you can make the money in a PKO and still lose profit. The payouts for the regular prize pool is cut in half in a PKO so the min-cashes are extremely minimum. :) But that is a small price (small prize?) to pay for all the other benefits of a PKO.

MTT's are top of my lists, preferably Mid to Large fields of players with a good tournament overlay.

Progressive KO is a very specific tournament. You need to really understand very well how to play these tournaments in order to have really good prize payouts over a long distance.

Are you really good at playing? What are your results? do you have a plus point in the long distance? I don't really like these tournaments, probably because they have a very large range of players.

I really like slow, quiet, long tournaments, because it's a great opportunity to prepare well and learn a lot of details. But when you can't spend 4 hours or more at the table, SNG is also a great and fast tournament :)
