Break even for $1.25 would be: (1.25) Wins and (1.25) 2nds and (1.25) 3rds per 9 sngs.

Break even for $2.25 would be: (1.125) Wins and (1.25) 2nds and (1.25) 3rds per 9 man sngs

In a 9 man sng,you want to be winning 15% or greater to expect profit!

Its early but I think my math is correct.

i dont play the $1.25 as the rake is just insane. it's still nutz at the $2.25s but i got to start somewhere. i got 772 games in so far and barely showing a profit. 12.2% 1st 12.3% 2nd 16.3% 3rd. i'm ITM 40.8% with a ROI of 4.4%. so i would think 15% for 1st place finishes should be obtainable and should show a good profit.

Basically you want to finish I.T.M (<< in the money) ~36%+ to be a break-even player.
Playing the $1 sng's, it will be difficult to stay ahead of the rake, being that it is 25% whereas it is usually only 10% in most games.
I would move up to the $2's as it is better there.

It's still ridiculous. This is one of the things I liked so much about Bugsy's Club.

Rake = 10% across the board
3rd = 2x base buy-in
2nd = 3x base buy-in
1st = 5x base buy-in

Anyone know of a site that comes close to that now?

Full Tilt is close to that.

1st = 4.5x
2nd = 2.7x
3rd = 1.8x

The payout you want can only be attained with 10man sng's, and most are 9. Try the pokerstars 3.40 turbos

After they take the .40, payout is what you described.
1st = 5x
2nd = 3x
3rd = 2x
