try and survive the first stages.. the longer you last the more you can win so incentive's slow play.

it depends on the structure of the tournament and your stack of depard but generally on a turbo MTT I tighten the game early and play wide mid-game when everything goes well and I have enough chips to play depth.

See more hands early when they are cheap. If you catch some cards and build a stack you can afford to slow down a bit in the middle stage. If you still have a good sized stack as you get deeper you can move along quickly to put more pressure on the short stacks. But, if you don;t have a good stack and the blinds are becoming a factor you should take more time to slow down the chip loss a bit.
