This is a general strategy question - not a hand review - so I am not sure if this is the best place for it. When short stacked in in a tournament and no where near the bubble or requiring ICM considerations, should you always open shove in +EV spots even if the if EV is only +0.01. Is there the value of tournament life over a very small amount of EV?

I think if it's just 0.01 you shouldn't go shove, but if it is 0.1 you definitely should go. Also, remember that in tournaments people call much tighter than they should, so if you hand is break even by Nash equilibrium, it's probably profitable to push it.

Math will never disappoint you in the longterm but the thing is if you feel lucky or if you have the momentum to push your +EV holding.

I have made the right push the right moment many times and got eliminated by ghosts so it is your choice and only I guess :D
