I know what you mean, some of the play on my table is shocking. I'm pretty comfortable with 3000 chips, i doubled up when i flopped trip aces and paired my kicker, a ten, on the river.

I'm 45 chips up from where I started, lol, although I was down to 400 at one point, so it's not too bad.

It's been an hour and I haven't gotten a good hand yet. My best pre-flop hand has been 66, which didn't hit. Other than that my best hands have literally been KT and QJ. I haven't gotten an ace without it being with a rag! In an hour! Totally ridiculous.

2nd break and I'm 624th out of 886. Just under 8500 chips.

This thing is all luck, man. My 2 big hands were my 77 held up all-in PF vs A8o and I flopped a straight w A2, went all-in vs 4 limpers & one called with flush draw that missed.

Otherwise, 3rd pair rules here. Table captain has 30K+ & keeps winning with junk. Not sure if I have the eggs to try it with my semi-small stack.

EDIT: I guess I jinxed it by writing this. Went out 726th out of 10K. Crippled down to 1 blind with 99 that didn't hold up vs A-rag all-in. I think some pretty bad habits could arise from this kind of play. Not sure I'll try it again.

Why do these things exist and why am I still trying to qualify? Why why whyyyy. I play well, play "right" and I consistently lose with the best hand. I say "screw this crap" and push all-in with the 3rd best hand and I river a four-flush to win. They want to REWARD people for this crap?! Ack.

I lasted until about 2400 in the second freeroll. I was at about 5000 chips and got AK in early position and raised 4X BB and got called by the monster stack (30,000) at the table. Flop came KQQ and I bet the pot and he just called so, with how he was playing, I put him on K10 or K9. Turn came Q and I was kinda cursing it because I knew I was gonna be a split pot now... but I bet anyway just in case he had a smaller pair or whatever... and he smooth calls. River is an Ace and I feel I had won the pot. You know, in poker you get that gut feeling that you have the best hand, and you just *have* to go with it because, well, that's poker.

So, I push... he's holding Q8.
