I won a ticket to a the 2018 Poker challenge. I've only played live about a dozen times. I will be playing against Joe Cada and 300 other poker players. The prize pool is $300,000+. Since I won the ticket I've played live 6 times 2 tournaments and 4 home games and got crushed all 6 times. I've been studying replaying hands etc. So I was looking for some advice as to the best way in getting ready for this event. Please all welcome

Don't get to concerned about getting crushed. Your sample size is way to small. As long as you play well online you should do well playing live. Some advise, don't look at your cards until its your turn to act. You should be watching the players you are looking at there cards to see if they react. If they suddenly look down at there chips or just seem happier suddenly, they very likely have a hand. when its your turn to act try to do everything deliberately and the same every time. If you act in the same way every time the other players wont pick up information on you. Now for the most important bit of advise I can give you. Have fun and enjoy the game. Don't worry about winning or making the money but enjoy the opportunity you have. This could be a experience of your poker lifetime.

Do try to play more live before you go if possible so you can be more comfortable.

I leave on my cruise this Sunday. Feeling good had a chance to play in 4 65plus people tournament's. I cashed twice with a 6th and a 10th place. Also an 18th and 12th that didn't make the money

NCL Poker Cruise 2018

Well the cruise was fantastic! I played in the main event 1100 entry. I did not make it to the next day. I played for 3.5 hours. It was a great experience. I met Joe Cada, Mike Mizrachi and Loni Harwood. Joe for the first time in 5 years cash in the main event. He actually came in second $64000, and Jeremy (don't know his last name came in first. $100,000. I believe they chopped at 80k each and played it out for the last 4k and bragging rights. It was pretty thrilling, I was fortunate to be surrounded by Joes girl friend and his entourage. Just a great relaxing time.

good luck I'm sure if there is a casino they should have tournaments to win the same cruise I did. Just make sure you can make the next cruise. If you do win and you can't make it they are transferable. Meaning you can sell it.
