So for a while I was making some small cashes and min cashes probably about every 2-3 out of 10-12 tournaments. And then a few weeks ago took first for my biggest cash to date. Now I find myself even missing the min cashes, about 20 or so tournaments over 3 weeks and blanked them all. I've been averaging playing maybe 3-8 a week.

I'm not terribly concerned yet given how I know you can get a top 3 finish in a big MTT and then go dry for a long time.

But I was curious of those that put in higher volume of these MTTs, what's the average ROI and what average number in a row of tourneys without a cash do you start to wonder if there's something wrong with your game? These are mostly lower stake Turbo & Regular MTTs (no R or A, some are deepstack, some are normal) averaging anywhere from 300-1200 players.

Basically what was your longest streak of no cashes and what did you do if anything about it?

This is pretty normal for mtt players but if you have the skills you'll be making more than you lose in the long run.

I'm on a 50 buy in downswing currently but it's not a true downswing since I played a session while drunk, 2 sessions while hungover and then a normal session but it doesn't bother me because I'm properly rolled for the games i play.

Basically if you're properly rolled for the games you play a downswing should never really bother you. The hardest part I find being on the downswing is trying to stay mentally strong throughout the downswing and try not to adjust from my game.

Playing large field MTTs, you need a huge sample (several thousand tournaments) before you can really say anything meaningful. Downswings over a couple hundred tournaments are pretty normal.
