I'm not a big fan of limping. However, I have to admit there are situations when it’s not a bad idea. I think it’s a good idea in the early stages of a tournament, or if it doesn’t cost much to watch the flop.

Hey guys
What do you think about the limp strategy with small pocket pairs?
Like 22 an 33 trying to play small pots?

it's really worth playing with them if we look at the flop cheaply. But I would prefer the minimum raise. It comes with low information.

Yes

Yes, I almost always play small pairs for as little as possible before the flop. If I hit a set then it's all good from there most the time.

It honestly depends on position and situation your in whether or not to limp with the small pair. Sometimes it may pay off but if you got a multi-way pot your small pair probably won’t hold up.

This is a good strategy to see if you can hit a set on the flop.
