How often do you think that not everything is fair in online poker?
It seems to me that the cooler and the badbits occur much more often than they should - in order to have more action and for more rake in cash games

A good book told me "Never be honest in poker" as you give your opponent to much information about you. Rarely show your cards etc. - But I guess that's not your point here.

Of course it's not fair that those people are successful but their behavior is kind of their strategy - be aggressive and take the money. As some parts of poker still depend on chances it's never fair at all. :)

People have been making this claim for a very long time, and it certainly can feel this way at sometimes especially when running bad, but no one has ever been able to provide concrete evidence that this is true. The conventional argument against this idea is that you see more hands per hour online than live (live 25 per hour vs online 80-100+ per hour at one table); there is higher variance online so coolers and bad beats occur more often.

Tell you this: any poker game, live or online, can be easily rigged.. HOWEVER..

A variance between live and online is that in live poker, the same deck is used for a while and reshuffled. So when you start shuffling it, cards aren't always in the same order.. In online poker, it's a fresh new deck opened and shuffled every hands, deck picked in a bin created by a separate and independant device shuffling decks 24/7 and putting them in the bin. When a deck is needed, it's took in the bin and let's play it.

Like XYZ was saying, another variance is the amount of hand played per hour. If you play 100 hands onlive vs 25 live, cooler bad beats should logically happen 4 times more, but still following the odds..

The pleasure of playing online!

Keep on playin'

The natural variance of the game is high and you see more hands/hour online so runs of bad beats / lost flips are common. Also you may be remembering the bad beats and coolers you lost to more than the ones you dished out

It's all set up for everyone to lose. Every site you play notice you do well at first? That's because nobody knows how you play. Notice as time goes on or you try to cash out everything changes. The speed and tempo, whole cards, flops, betting patterns, and the bad beats that not even pros would of folded???? Notice the hands you like to play with start coming more often? And they are nothing but a pure trap? It's called algorithms, the site and players are learning how you play. All designed to keep everyone loading money back on their account. You can still win money but you have to change the way you play and fold hands you never would in a live game. Oh and I forgot the programs players use that also learn how you play. Don't forget about all the poker buddies sitting at the same table sharing their with each other just waiting for someone to come along lol. Pumped up odds, collusion, poker bots, and algorithms are the only difference between live and online no biggy. Its just because you see way more hands than live and no casino would ever dare to scam money. Rich people all got rich by being honest loyal people their whole lives 😂😂😂

Bad beats will happen far more often in online poker due to number of hands played. I don't believe they happen any more consistently than they do live though.

I have argued this before and it legit online. Is it perfect? probably not but are they purposely trying to scam people? They are not.

Honesty In Online Poker

I truly believe in some sort of thing going on, at times it seems when I got the nuts they fold, and when I think I got the nuts, they have a better hand, more than on average this happens. In the cash games not in the tournaments.

I think that in large well-known online poker rooms - the game of poker is fair. The feeling of deception arises only because of the high pace of playing online poker, because the cards are dealt several times faster than in live poker.

i think everything is fair cause its all random. if you have a deck of cards and play a few hands by yourself u could see the outcome.

a lot of the time it doesn't seem fair, i've seen people go all in with 4,5 and beat pocket jacks. I've seen terrible losses but i've also seen amazing wins. I used to hate playing online because it seemed the trash cards always won. Then the tables finally turned and i was starting to win on proper cards. I've played poker for over 10 years, I've seen that online poker is fair to everyone. It just takes time to see it for yourself.
