Freeroll Tournaments, other than the massive amount of players has many advantages that you can capitalize on. These are as the following:
-Opportunity to create a bankroll for FREE (obviously)
-Allows you to learn patience
-Allows you a way to test out certain strategies for other tournaments (micros)
-Develops necessary patience to play premium hands such as AA, KK, QQ, AKs, and JJ
Things to note about freerolls that may help you get money from these are simple and I will break them down into 3 stages:

Things to note about freerolls that may help you get money from these are simple and I will break them down into 3 stages:
- Early- Premium hands only (AA,KK,AKs,QQ,JJ)
- Middle Stage (Antes)-Tight still, but start stealing
- Late (20-30 player)- Be aggressive, play good hands strong
Early Stage- This is the stage in a freeroll where all the crazy hands are. Play tight and in position with the premium hands mentioned above. If heads up against an all in early on, you can try to stack up with TT, or better Avoid hands like KJ, KQ, KT as by the river they are most likely to be the second or third best hand.
Middle Stage- This is where the antes are introduced. Play in position on the dealer button and play your position aggressively. If a tight player raises and you have a marginal hand, fold. If playing against a loose player, re-raise and take it to the flop if he continues. In this stage of the tournament your actions depend on your stack size a lot. Only the disciplined will make it to the late stage near the money( in a regular freeroll). Short stacked you should look for a good hand to shove with, mid stack you should do the same but you are also able to resteal with a shove, and deep stacked use it as a weapon to punish weak players (players who will fold 80% of the time or better on the flop).
Late Stage- This stage of the tournament you will have to play very aggressive without being a donkey (any two cards). Open up your range to suited connectors if you are able to limp in and marginals like KJ, KQ, QJ, JT become powerful tools to your advantage.
I hope these tips help you cash and even win freerolls. Any input to make this post better is also greatly appreciated.
