I saw the discussion on here about freeroll tournaments.

For me you still see the same level of players in both freeroll tournaments and micro tournaments .01-$2.00 especially recreational players.

Where you might think freerolls and micro tournaments .01-$2.00 are different there still in the same group and you are able to take advantage of beginners and recreational players which is what you want!

I don't want to play in a $11.00 or $20.00 buy in tournament where there is less beginners and recreational players.

Most important thing for me is play in poker tournaments and cash games where I feel comfortable playing in that particular buy in tournament and cash games.

In alot of cases I will never profit over players who are playing in higher buy ins and are at a higher poker level then me.

As Mike Caro says in one of his poker books treat your poker and bankroll as a business!

It doesn't matter if your a recreational player, part time or full time poker player.
Treat your poker and bankroll as a business!

I had a $40.00 bankroll 4-5 years ago and 8 days before Halloween 2020 with.08 left in my bankroll I figured out my late registration system.

I now have over $157.00 in my bankroll!

It doesn't matter if you don't like late registration or that you don't like playing in a poker tournament at the start of the tournament, because if it's not building your bankroll isn't it just wasting your time and bankroll?

Years ago I played at pokerstars for money and even with playing freeroll tournaments it was to my advantage to learn every poker game there was on that site.

Yes razz can be boring, but if I can improve my razz game and build my bankroll, then it is well worth it!

You never know when a badugi tournament or 2-7 lowball, 8 card stud- hi and hi/lo, pot limit omaha hi and hi/lo tournament will be playing online or at a poker room or casino.

If you can build your bankroll and if it's to your advantage to play then do play in it!

I personally think Freerolls are just the perfect way of building a bankroll completely free, but it's so much grinding and very time consuming.
You do get some experience and face a lot of different opponents while you're at it, but if you are a fundamentally sound poker player, you could "skip" this part by depositing on a site, receive some bonuses along the way and get started in a more real environment.
You can still play Freerolls anyways, and if you manage to win, it will be a boost to your bankroll anyway.

the objective is to earn money to take advantage of the advantage that we consider we have, you are already on that path, continue there, you will be able to climb a level later and see how it goes for you, you will be able to see that the players who play the buyin range of 11-20, in any case if you see that it is more difficult you return to what you are doing, the important thing is that you are clear that the main goal is to make money:jd4::jd4::jd4::jd4:

I have had a break for a couple of years roughly, and I am now once again, starting again by trying to build a bank roll from freerolls. It is a better experience than during the early pandemic, but yes, it's a long slow grind. And, I'm surprised to see that not all are poor players. When I stopped previously it was just full of crazy maniacs and impossible to try to play a decent game to try to improve your poker, but now it has settled down and there is a mix so at least you can try to polish your game whilst risking little to nothing and maybe building a bit of a bank roll at the same time :)

I think it's the same players in the majority of cases, specially with buy in under $2, because the players need to play with their freerolls winnings. But I notice that in buy in tournaments, even in micro stakes MTTs, the players have a better level than in freerolls.

I really dont think the level of the players is a big change in the matter, but i believe that the mentality changes a lot. I think even the buy in being small as 1 dollar tournaments you are getting some money out of your pocket and that means that you are going to play a little more seriously;

When i started playing poker with friends we really just made it for fun but i've noticed that people just screw all the game when they got bored or tired they simply gave away all chips to do something else. So i've just stopped playing like that and said that if they wanted to play there sould be money on the table.

Play very few cash games and am very happy building my bankroll from the great variety of freerolls offered through Cardschat.
