I'm trying to build a BR from scratch in freerolls. I actually won $10 in one about a month ago, built it to $30 playing .05/0/10 NLHE cash, then moved up to 0.10/0.25, and lost it all. I think I jumped limits way too soon with that BR.

So I am rebuilding using freeroll tournaments. Anybody here use that technique successfully?

I never bankrupted the bankroll that I made from freerolls

I think you should keep trying to get some freeroll money and them move to money tournaments instead of cashgames

I make my bank from the freeroll, when I win I do not go to the tables, it's a lot of risk, every so often I leave something to play sit and go or one or another tournament, if you win $ 10 and go to tables directly I do not think It's good, I recommend sit and go, they are very good to keep growing your bankroll

Persobally i find the .01/.02 cash games on acr very soft and easy to beat. I've just started playing online and made a 25 $ deposit and built it to over 50 in a few days. I figure once i hit 100 or so I'll move to the .03/.05 game.

Should try to win a few more tournaments before playing cashgames or tournaments. You will bust really quick if you jump that high to soon.

my recommendation is that you continue with the freerolls and that you play sng, both are good to build a good bankroll, then when you have enough you follow the same with the freerolls and combine them with the sng, tournaments and money tables, but always with a limit , if you go with everything in a money table run the risk of the same thing happening to you

MTT e SIT GO

I think making money in deve' to try Freerolls play sit and go down cash ever think of BB to build out that buy at least 50x the value of the bank roll Buy
Cash is better to stay on low until about 100 US dollars banking

I am currently building my bankroll by playing freerolls. I think it is a good way to start out as a beginner. I do a lot of studying and then try to implement what I learned as I play in freerolls. It is going to take a while to build a bankroll for me to start playing for real money with the bankroll I would like. Definitely look into bankroll management as it does seem as you jumped limits way too quickly.

Personally I recommend starting with 30 buy ins at any cash game limit in order to avoid the worst variance. Then I would recommend moving up at somewhere around 50 buy ins.

I'm actually fairly good, already. I like to think that I am pretty good at learning from my losses, rather than whining about them. Granted, it's sometimes just bad luck, but not this time. I had actually been on a pretty long winning streak, and got overconfident. Hopefully, that's my last time doing THAT.

i builded my bankroll thanks to cardschat freerolls.

if you have something about $10 you can grind 0,25 S&G without any problems, i really recommend that for beginners. but if you have some experience and you are rebuilding your BR you can try to move up a little faster in cash games. something about 30 BI let me play confortable, so dont hurry to move up, with the $30 that you have i will continue to play NL2 and if you are confident you can risk 1~3BI at NL5

Take it easy and when your bankroll is small go try playing the $0.02 (990p) pokerstars tournaments and the $0.01 Jackpots. After you can increase your bankroll further you can go trying to play the MTTs $0.10 (360p).

Also, Don't play cash game with a short Bankroll.

Once you manage to win a min deposit of $10 is where you should focus on slowly creating your bankroll.
Playing in cash games is not a wise decision if building a bankroll [IMHO], you have no wiggle room in cash games.
I myself have slowly built my bank roll to just over $100 from with approx. $1.62 in freerolls, I initially would only play in extremely low buyins ranging anywhere from $0.10 to $0.50, after building to a bankroll of over $25.00 I would jump into the $0.25 spin & goes, and after increasing to the $50 range I started to focus on $1.50 6 and 9 player MTT.
Whenever I take any serious bad beats in any given day is where I would force myself to step away from the game for a day or two and just play in our daily freerolls here at CC.
So if you are serious in building your bankroll, you need to learn how to implement self-control and serious Bank Management.
Good luck with your quest.

Best way to keep your freeroll bankroll is to stay away from the micro ring tables because they are infested with bots and players who just have alot of cash and like to bully the small stakes tables.Stick with spending freeroll money on Cash buy in tourneys,I myself send most freeroll money to the sportsbook section and make huge profits during football and basketball season,,do ok on baseball.

It really is very tricky to increase the bankroll in freerolls.
I'm in search of this.
I do not have the money to start applying to the game these days and to be honest,
I'm looking for fun while learning to make money on pokerstars.

Slowly, I get to where I want to go.
I'll use this strategy you used, but without making the mistake you made ...
Thank you for sharing with us ;)

Yeah. When I played on FT from 2004 to 2006, I played mostly SnGs. I bought in for $50. Two years later, I cashed out for $2000.

Yeah, I had the same experience at ACR, except the lowest there is 0.05/0.10.

I know. Because that's what happened. I SHOULD have known better, but I was on a rush, and got overconfident. DUUUUHHH.

I am trying to do the exact same thing you are. The most money I have been up to was $15 and lost it. I have $0.22 in my account now.

Building a bankroll from freerolls can be difficult but you’re in the right place. Cardschat makes it easier by offering exclusive freerolls for FRC members. Don’t be in a hurry to move up, be patient and you’ll do well.

Keeping the bankroll..

Freebies make you use the long-game, to get ITM. If you retain the long-game approach, even at micro-stakes, that will serve you well. Another factor: table size, number of players. If you play a full table, even 05/0/10 NLHE cash, if all ten players bet, and you have playable cards, you still have to make all the bets to stay in the game.
Also, a full table decreases your odds, simple probability, only 1/10 chance to win, 9/10 chance an opponent beats you.
Everybody has advice on how to win and build your BR. Trying to help you retain your BR, and still play your game.
