Iíve noticed a change in some casinos in my area that are ending their tournaments, even the cheap ones. The bigger tournaments are also gone. Is this a new trend in the casinos?
Iíve been playing poker for years, enjoying the cheaper tournaments the most. I also play in larger tournaments when I can. But to end them all is not a very good business model.
I guess it depends on where you live. Here the closest one for me is Isle of Capri. Ive noticed that most of the regular weekly tournaments they put on they have a 10$ dealer appreciation add on. And I don't know too many ppl that wouldn't spend the extra 10$ for the extra chips. So it maybe the reason we still have the weekly tournaments bc of the missed opportunity for the extra money they would be making on the cash games.( ie rake and tips )
