I see very often many annoying players who plays very slow( until their time expires) trying to get into the money:mad:. It happens especially in freeroll tournaments when there are still many players who has to lose their chips until people get into the money and the prizes for those just above the line are very low; so c'mon people .... that's really annoying... for prizes under 1$ to do that!?:D:DWhat do you guys think?

Well you did ask the question of “What do you guys think?”
So here are my 2 cents worth….. lol
You really need to get control of your inner emotions, fretting over a bunch of fish playing like fish is part of the poker experience, especially online.
So if you cannot take advantage of these situations, then you need to control your aversion with these types of situations or better yet “DON’T PLAY IN freerolls
What is more important to you? your sanity?, or playing in a free game the costs you nothing but you limited time on this earth? ….. Just a little humor for your ranting J

at the bubble? I don't mind that much, you never know how important the min cash is to someone's bankroll.

I get that you are annoyed by that but having players such as this on your table gives you the chance to win more chips since you would only have to worry only about 3-4 players.

Just play your best game I know it frustrating, this just seems to be landscape of poker especially online as cash tournaments is such major jump in general. This is their number 1 goal in tournament cash. Then should be looking for win. Best advice sit back relax let bubbles break or put pressure small stacks use it as great time to get away with highway robbery.

It can be frustrating but the time bank is there for them to use how they see fit. Using it at certain times to cash or move up can be a useful strategy. I find it annoying when they use it when the tournament is in hand for hand play. Makes no sense then.

Your time is yours to use however you want...if you are short stack and it means taking more time means you may cash instead of not cash why not...I would say if it bothers you maybe you should work on being a little more patient...to play poker you NEED patience and a level head...just my opinion

Transposed: slow players who annoyingly get ITM..

Agree totally, is annoying when they lag, ruins it, even if you make ITM. What I am referring to is early, and throughout the tourney, guy slow plays, goes all ins randomly, and keeps winning. You think, "someone will take this joker down." After tourney, check stats, and the guy came close, or was ITM. Not a frequent occurrence, randomness, etc. But you'd think players who play crazily would have worse results.

Agreed ,if ur playinf for $$, you really need to time bank if you're only a few spots from cashing, mostly if ur on the lo end of the stack,, In the freeroll if you sit and wait ,WHY its free just gamble it no cost nothing lost

If they have the time on their clock it's there for them to use. I have even done a bit of slowing things down when my chips start to disappear too fast. On occasion I might even feel a lil sorry for a short stack and slow down a bit. Whats the hurry?:D:D

Slow Muk

That`s me. I go totally slow muk when it is bubble time, but only for real prizes, not for nickel dime stuff. When I first started, I played strait up every hand, then because I have Zero Luck and was bubble boy many times, I decided to let others exit first. People bet like fools, then slop-it-out, and I found that the clock is a tool also. So, get over it, it`s just part of the game. Sorry for my part, good luck.

I make less misclicks and other mistakes if I take my time.

If I just look away for a moment a player can be table changed.

But if people want to limp into the money that is a strategy.

And by the way if they are paying 15 then somebody has to come in 15th, 14th etc.

Good luck !

many of us have done that both in free tournaments and in buy-in tournaments, for many every penny counts, for others it is part of strategies, you should not concentrate on your game, it is what should matter to you, if that makes you lose control or if that bothers you ruin your progress in the tournament

Its a tourney. You want to at least min cash. If tanking will make you min cash, then I see nothing bad about this. Its online, 30 secs might seem like forever but wait till you play a live tourney and someone starts tanking for mincash. If you dont like waiting and want to play fast, then you have to learn to multitable.

Its kinda their right to use the allowed time, if the slow play frustrates you just open up another game and you will have less time to worry about it.

In the long run, it helps you. Those are just free chips. If you are looking for a fast experience online, better think again!

It's usually the proper play to use time bank for the money bubble. If you let it get to you plus one for the opposition. If i'm a couple away from the money and have a short stack you can bet i'm using my time bank.

It is absurd in a small freeroll but in major tournament that mean something to your financial situation I understand it and welcome it as part of the game. In Omaha tournaments I just relax if I have more than 120BB.

Just because 1$ to you doesnt mean much, it may be a lot to somebody living in say Venezuela or some other country that does not have a strong economy. Some people rely on income from freerolls to fund their bankroll. (Check your privilege?) They can do whatever they like with the time they are allowed. If they think it will help them min-cash and that is there strategy, then so be it. You could be more agressive towards them as its likely they do not want to lose any chips.

You cant let these things bother you, if your too impatient, maybe try opening another table up to keep u busy while waiting for your turn. Them tanking also makes you take less blinds and antes, so its not hurting you in anyway. :p

This situation doesn't bother me very much. It's the players that do this when tourney is in hand to hand mode that kill me. Making it to the money no matter what the buy in was could be the world to someones bankroll. You just have to wait it out and not tilt behind this type of play.
