I've done it several times and many of them the results were very good.
Because of the addon I was able to get the prize.

It depends on the cost of the add on relative to the amount of money you would get in return. What is the min cash for instance? Would it cover the cost of the add on?

I don't understand why people do this to themselves, if you don't want to add on don't play add on games, it's like playing a rebuy with no intention of rebuying or playing a KO with no regards for the KO's, it's deliberately putting yourself at a disadvantage from everyone else from the start... why would anyone intentionally do that.. I suppose if you have given up on the game you could skip it and just consider the game lost but I just don't think that's the way to approach any game, gl

Often it is the case that the add on is the 10x size of the rebuy stack f. ex. so you have to take the add on in any case in my opinion, in special freerolls on stars u start with a freebuy and when u are good enough u can play with only this bullit until u are comming to the add on and then u got good chances to win a ticket or a seat or whatever... ;)

When is it correct to add-on in an online poker tournament?
I've heard somewhere that you should always add on no matter the circumstances. Is this the correct way to procced? I mean if i am close to short stacked and I'm away from the money should i still add on?

Thanks in advance :)
i hate add-on in tournaments

I think add on is a good idea in tournaments that are big and long. Many players and too much time for rebuy, in that case i believe is a good option have an add on.

I do tend to avoid those type of tournements but when I to play them I do tend to take the add on. The only time I really dont take the add on is when I am a super low stack and the add on still leaves me under 15BB i will skip it. I did skip it ones as the monster stack. It was for an add on starting stack but I had done so well at that point it would only increase my stack by less than 10% so it was not going to really help me.

When is it OK to add to an online poker tournament?
I heard somewhere that you should always add, no matter the circumstances. Is this the right way to proceed? I mean, if I'm close to being short of chips and I'm far from money, should I keep adding?

thanks in advance:)
The add on is very important if you have enough in the first place it is not necessary but if it is not necessary the other day I went to the casino and why not add on I lost

I always take it's always cool and you should always take it profitably even if you are a chip leader always take a break from all the players to definitely take places in the tournament

Personally I have to work out whether it is going to benefit me by adding on, things like how deep are we in the Tournament, am I going to make the money, but there is one surprising thing, some players cannot afford the add on because they overstretch themselves or they have made the Tournament through a free-roll so don't have the funds.
In one game I was actually chip leader by the break and in order to guarantee being there after the break had to add on regardless of the fact, also I was the bubble boy in another game and because I added on at the break, I finished in the money as there were some that didn't add on.
I think the right answer would be, Can you afford not to Add on, will it make a difference?

I avoid addon if I am in Bottom 10% of the field. Otherwise I do addon when I have an option.

I think it depends on: amount of chips you have and how many chips they give you for doing the add-on, I've seen tournaments where they tell you we give you 50k in chips and others where they give much less chips (basically the same amount of chips as when you started the tournament), I think that making an add-on can protect you a little more and can give you more confidence in the tournament, I don't think it's something mandatory, but I do think that you should evaluate many things to decide whether or not to do it

Hi, I think is good when you have short chips, because that give you calm to play with less pressure.
