I would not have open limped: you now have zero information about the big blind's hand. You pretty much have to call, since there are a ton of hands that you have crushed.

I would say it depends on what kind of hands you seen this player show down and if you've seen he has a tendency to bluff a reraise like that.

I agree on the call, disagree on the ton of hands that have you crushed. Either an over set, or 45 have you beat. Any over pair or A small draw will make a move here, and even hands like 65 or TPTK.

Unfortunately, I think you have to call here. I do not have the discipline to lay down a set in this spot if I think I am beat, so there for I go broke. Or triple up.

Hard to fold a floped set. I would say call you got outs atleast 1 out if he got you beat.

disagree on the ton of hands that have you crushed.

then why call?

you beat: straight draw, two pair, top pair good/ace kicker, pair and a gut shot = a ton of hands that a free big blind could have

AG... I totally misread your original post...

I thought it said 'there are a ton of hands that have you crushed'.

My bad. Essentially my post was why I agree with you... heh.

I agree with a few of the others.. You don't know enough about the players at your table yet.. BUT you do have trips and you have a lot of hands beat. I would have called.
