Just ITM, QualityFirst is a very strong/fairly tight player, we've been on 2 tables together (75% of the tournament) so far and macosi was new to the table... The average stack is right around 10K so i'm just under that...

I felt like i certainly couldn't call this bet... it was either shove or fold.

Am I missing something..you folded ? Think that is correct since you did miss flop entirely and would need to let it go anyway.

I'm talking about the preflop decision...

Call? Shove? Fold?

I found this to be a particularly difficult decision, but maybe i just to much of a NIT.

You have a tight solid player raising UTG and a caller. Your M is 6.7. I fold and find a spot where I can be 1st into the pot. At best you'll be racing in this spot.

i let it go preflop. you still have a decent stack and the blinds are not that high yet. you have time to wait for a better spot.

I agree with the fold pf. Bad position, 2 players already in a raised pf pot, both had you covered.

The second problem is discussing postflop. This is Full Tilt, and the flop produced might or might not have been what it was had you bet or been in the hand.

agreed with the fold pf on the basis your shove isn't going to be called by a worse hand and you obviously aren't getting odds to flat call and set mine, or even to flat call and reevaluate.

Would a stop-n-go be a too obvious ploy here? I think with macosi's stack size the s-n-g will not be successful enough times to make this profitable.

I'm going to go with the fold in this spot. At best you're flipping, and your M is high enough that you can look for a better spot.
