I think I already know the answer to this but just want to make sure..
I should fold on the river as the bet is too big to call right ?
I mean I have the 2nd best FD but the straight is a long shot so I'm probably not getting odds right ?

Anyways I figure I got lucky on the turn and the river was unnecessary ..

You mean the turn? How can you fold? You have the playmoney nuts, top pair.

No I mean the flop :) it was a typo ..
Should say: 'I should fold on the flop as the bet is too big right'

Yes, in the long run you'll end up losing money by making those calls. You got lucky in that hand, that's all.
