This jcnewbie guy has been playing pretty loose the whole time I've been at this table, but his position is starting to worry me. Having a LAG like him to my right is a bit unsettling.

EDIT: And as I posted this, he went out with two pair against a full boat. So I guess I don't have to worry about him anymore. :D

you dont want to see a flop with AK suited with 3 players. Next time raise that up 3x or 3.5x preflop. People will call with anything with a small minraise like that. More so on a freeroll too

Blinds wre 50/100. You're saying raise more to get more action? o_O

Tell me this why would you want 4 players seeing a flop when you do have one of the strongest hands preflop, if you miss the flop you cant make a continuation bet into those 4 people.

And if I hit the flop, I can potentially get chips from 4 people.

but the odds of you winning the hand goes down when there are more players..If i had 4-5 people seeing the flop when I had AK preflop, im not gonna lie i would kill myself haha jk

I think AK gets over played and overvalued way too often. AK is a very strong drawing hand. Emphasis on drawing because you will need to improve against a made hand. AK is very strong and if you hit you will have top pair/top kicker, but even a pair of 2s has AK beat preflop.

It is the hand with the most potential PF, though.

Raise more to isolate. The less players you have to go against with AK, the better. Also, you build the pot with a bigger raise.
