so really there's nothing anyone can do except play extremely passive with the Cowboys, i personally love thme compared to bullets, anyday of the week,????

Was gonna say, in this case it seems to have gotten the desired outcome...

Talking in general though? I think this depends on your image and having a read on your opponent more than anything else. If your image is genuinely that of a TAG player, and your opposition are paying attention (not always the case, especially at low levels), then maybe the pre-flop bet would've scared action away. I have no idea how the river bet didn't scare this opponent away either, BTW, but that's another story...

If you're seen as more of a LAG player though, the action might be about right. People are more likely to think you're just making a move with nothing and call you down

I have no idea how the river bet didn't scare this opponent away either, BTW, but that's another story...

If you're seen as more of a LAG player though, the action might be about right. People are more likely to think you're just making a move with nothing and call you down


no river action in this hand, was all in on turn. And at that point he had nut flush draw and pair so in villians eyes he had 9 outs to nut flush and 2 more sevens and 3 aces giving him 14 outs. Even if he discounts 2-3 he still had a good amount of outs.

You played it fine. The turn bet was a little big, but if you think your opponent has a hand strong enough to call a push with (that you beat, of course), then by all means do it.
