I even thought about calling at the time, but I thought the best option was to fold, after villain went allin and the other called, my 77 was certainly dominated.
But if I had a crystal ball I would definitely call.:ROFLMAO:

Exactly.

Of course you can get lucky and hit a set like here but if there are two players in, it's likely they'll hit at least one overcard or maybe they even have a better pair. 🙂

That's what I analyzed at the time.
If it was against only one opponent would my call be correct or not?

According to Nash/GTO, they are supposed to jam quite tight over your UTG raise, since your range is also quite small.

But I do not have access to ICMizer to analyse if it would be +EV or not.

But maybe a poker pro will help you out

Folding IMO was the right option with that kind of pre-flop action.

What cards come after you fold being irrelevant.

I am not a "poker pro", but I do have ICMizer, and I ran the hand. I can only run it in chip EV, since I dont know the payout or state of the tournament, but at least it still gives some idea. The program actually have Hero opening 20% of hands, which seem to wide for me, and it might have something to do with an assumption, that everyone behind will not call but only jam or fold. With this fairly wide opening range, Hero is supposed to overcall the two jams with 4,2% of hands, which is 99+, AK, AQs.

My next step was to manually change Heros opening range to 66+, AT+, A5s+, QJs+, which I think is closer to, what he might actually be opening, and what other players would expect him to be opening. This is only 12% of hands, and this of course make the jamming ranges narrower, and then Heros overcalling range also become narrower. Now Hero can only overcall with JJ+, AKs, and this is also, what I would actually do in real time. I might also stick it in with AKo, and this is not a huge blunder, since it only loses me 137 chips or less than 1 blind.

Finally I looked at a situation, where only MP+1 had jammed. Now Hero can call with 99+, AQ+, AJs, and this is also pretty close to, what I would actually do in real time. I might fold AJs, and once again that is not a big deal, since it only loses me 35 chips, which is a fraction of a blind. But either way as everyone figured out without using software, 77 is of course a fold, even just against a single jam. And we should not be results oriented, when our correct decision turn out to be "wrong" :)
