Inspired playing of the implied and pot odds in a side pot situation or really fishy fishiness?

For the record I am fairly certain I am behind on the flop and call anyway.

No reads, I've been on the phone while playing.

Not trying to insult you here,,but why are you in the hand??

are you changing your typical play?? trying to catch someone??

And how did you finish??

I dont think that your deep enough here to be looking for implied odds with a hand a speculitave hand like 10-3o, marginal situation really. That aside the rest of the hand is fine.

Just wondering though, would you have called a bet of 800 on the flop ?

Reason (and I'm not looking to suggest this is a +EV play, it's clearly not) for calling preflop is that the pot is 2020 and it's 820 to call. This on it's own is nowhere near enough to be calling with T3o.

However and you'll have to stay with me here. The limper is pretty much guarenteed to call, making it a 2840 pot (he may reraise but probably unlikely).

Given that this will then be a sidepot as the initial raiser is all in it's unlikely that the limper will bluff at it, so unless he hits something we are seeing all 5 cards and if my T or 3 pair they will possibly be good.

Flimsy argument at best, I think if it was 400 to call it stands up better :)

His bet on the flop is small enough to give me odds to call regardless (he may even be a donk bluffing a dry side pot). I then get lucky and scoop.

I don't know about an 800 bet Tenbob, I called preflop almost on a whim (I'd fold much more often than not), I think I would have probably stuck with it for 800, much more and I'd have folded.

(Dead, I came 39th of 280ish for a small cash, never built a stack and bust with AK v AA :) )

Speculative at best IMO. We're not exactly deep stacked, and T3 is just wayyy out there for me. I fold PF.

Something with more substance to it, like a small pair, SC or 1-gapper I might think about playing, but in general I'm thinking more about finding a hand good enough to push + double up with at this point rather than sneak into a pot with.
