I think you can valuebet the river here after opponent checks. Tons of second best hands pay off a small valuebet. Maybe half the pot or so.

Otherwise I like the hand. Good pot control given your hand.

Given your stack, your position and the flop (and this is about as raggedy as it gets) I like it.

He's either got you beat already or he's drawing to a set, two pair or an ace so checking to induce a bet on the turn is good, rather than taking the smaller pot if you are ahead and bet the flop or being called or reraised and being in all sorts of potential trouble.

If an ace hits the turn I kick myself but I like the play.

Come the river the pot's worth having and there's a risk of inducing a semi-bluff reraise from marginally worse hands that would be hard to call so I check there as well.

All of that said, this is massively context dependant based on my table image, any info I have on the other guy and what I think he thinks I have once he checks the flop. If he is particularly active post flop and is happy to speculate to accumulate then I'd be more inclined to either reraise the turn or bet the flop (in this case I would trying to make it look like I'm fishing for info on the flop or trying to take it cheaply with a 2000-3000 bet, this is unlikely to induce a reraise from a hand I'm behind but get a call from anything speculative).

However I take small stabs at a lot of pots and if I'm sure this has been noted I'm more likely to bet the flop, a check could look more like strength than a bet.

But yes, I like it :)

I don't think this was a WA/WB situation. I think you just allowed someone to possibly suck out on you that was drawing. Of course you did induce a bluff on the turn, but when the third heart hit on the river you couldn't value bet you kings any more. I would have probably been more cautious and bet the flop. Not betting seems like slow playing top pair/decent kicker, which is asking to get beat. I don't like giving free cards without having close to the nuts.

on the turn the only thing that wouldnt be WA/WB would be AQ of hearts.
