I'm thinking this should be in the brags & bad beats section.

Premierplayer, that happens to me so often. I'm really starting to hate KK, for the last two MTTs I got to the bubble with a medium to smallish sized stack and got all in preflop with KK and lost. First time I had KK in the small blind, a middle position player limped with 10 8 suited. I made a big raise for more than half of my stack, I didn't want to raise all in because I didn't want him to fold, he reraised all in I called and he won with a full house. The very next MTT I got to the bubble once again, got KK a player raised with AJ in middle position, I reraised, he went all in I called and flop came K 10 2 and turn a Q and river was a blank. I'm gonna try to get my money in with ace rag from now on I think my chances will be better.

Predicted odds are that an Ace will win about 30% of the time, 1 time for every 2.5 losses against a pair better then the Ace's kicker. I'd still rather get my money in with the pair, no matter how unlucky I have been in the past with them.

The groundbreaking analysis of tournament poker is astonishing in this thread *sarcasm obv*

I believe aces only come up when you have KK about 25 percent of the time if the entire board is exposed.

But unlucky, you got your money in with the best of it - all you can do usually.

Just lost in a 10 buck MTT right OTM with A9 vs A8, but in the long run us sharks who get our money in with the best will profit big time.

28.5 % with unsuited Ace
33.5% with suited Ace

Which rounds out to about 30%.

totally BOTing but I am curious why suited vs. unsuited would change the odds of an ace coming up?

Are you referring to the odds of winning the hand?

It's just a thought but how about seeing a flop before you go all in. And it's not against the law to slow play cowboys. But to many times you see KK called by either AA or AK or AQ or AJ. Show enough dicipline to lay them down if an A comes on the flop. Hey it's just my opinion, but one things for sure you would have played at least one more hand if you could have layed them down

Sorry, I was referring to the win percentage the whole time as I thought it was the main concern... but I guess it's interesting to know the percentage of one way an unpaired Ace could win...

This topic is pretty pointless and should go to the bad beats thread, there really is no Tournament hand analysis needed here.

I agree completely. OP is using the forum to vent some anger i guess. In theory that would not be a bad thing to do, but not in tournament hand analysis.
