Trying something new.. playing a hand I normally don't play. It isn't a hand I would advise.. yet the question now the odds and %'s. Yes tell me what was wrong with my hand besides I should have folded. Yet this shows you that the other people in the hand should have bet better.
What was wrong also with the others besides my hand that needed to be folded much much sooner?

i think overcalling the bet on the flop, after the bet and call, was a bit iffy but after that i can understand your calls because the bettor was making tiny bets in comparison to the pot

personally i try to stay away from those kinds of hands especially that early on
then again you're not hearing from the most experienced player

This is somewhat like saying "tell me what's wrong with this food apart from the fact that it tastes crap". Sure, TT guy played his flopped overpair like a donk, KQ guy is obviously hoping for a spot on the new series of "America's Stupidest Bluffers", and Lord only knows what the other guy had, but you shouldn't have even been involved in the hand after a UTG raise and a UTG+1 call.

Ohh I admit it isn't a hand I should have been in..
The one who won had pocket 10's..

The better in my opinion should have bet even higher after the flop. Yet the pocket 10's was a passive calling station.

I just wanted to show that miniscule betting didn't do anything.

Not all the food on the plate tastes like crap.
If the main course is good especially this case(the 10's) doesn't neccesarily mean the potatoes(K,Q) are going to be crap.

Just a mix of food thats all.

- These two should probably be folds too, though of course we can't be sure what they had.
*** FLOP *** [8d 8s 9s]
WILLCOL - Checks
TBROWN69 - Checks
TOPGUNMECH - Bets $180 - Less than half pot? He's giving anyone with a draw odds to call, and this is a quite draw-heavy board, so people aren't going to be bluffed out in most cases here.
WILDMAN164 - Calls $180
TWIZZYBOP - Calls $180
WILLCOL - Calls $180 - Durrrrrrrrr, raise. Pot is big, it's fine to take it down here and as there was no rr preflop it's hard to put anyone on a better hand (AA-JJ).
TBROWN69 - Folds
*** TURN *** [8d 8s 9s] J♥
WILLCOL - Checks
TOPGUNMECH - Bets $90 - Oh yeah, that's a nice 1/43687498th pot bluff bet there.
WILDMAN164 - Calls $90
TWIZZYBOP - Calls $90
WILLCOL - Calls $90 - I'm still inclined to raise here even if I've been a passive donk on the flop, as nobody is showing strength on a dangerous board.
*** RIVER *** [8d 8s 9s Jh] 10♣
WILLCOL - Checks
TOPGUNMECH - Bets $30 - This is quite possibly the stupidest bet I've ever seen.
WILDMAN164 - Calls $30

TOPGUNMECH - All-In(Raise) $1535 to $1565

Nice to see there is some justice in poker sometimes, the guy who rivered the straight played the hand the most stupidly imo and got what he deserved.

Fold preflop.

Calling on the flop is terrible after two people in my opinion. Your options are raising or folding, but raising on this board is a bad idea, so I'm folding the flop if I accidentaly misclicked call preflop.

Aside from you should have folded preflop, you played this hand corectly. You have to be cautious and pay attention to the best to see if they have the 8 or they have the straight. It was a good read and play and you could have lost a lot more chips.

Seriously? What good could calling postflop possibly do? If you think you have the best hand/you think others will fold to a raise, raise. If you don't think you have the best hand fold. If you're not sure where you are, you should still be folding/raising. I don't know why you would possibly want to call here.
