QJ just isnt' that strong a hand. A fold here is perfectly reasonable. Even if he's raising with any A or K, you're still behind and have to catch.

Personally this thread was just so I can have more support into convincing me to fold JQ :)

You really shouldn't need any convincing to fold QJ. It is so easily dominated that even if you hit top pair you don't know where you stand in the hand.

I'd rather have AQ, AJ, or KQ. QJ can run into trouble against AK, K10, 109s pretty easily. I recently busted someone who was holding QJ against my KQ. Its not dat goooooooooddddd

In my book, all of the following hands are better than QJo.

- Any pair higher than 88.
- Any suited Ax where x>=8.
- Any unsuited Ax where x>=T
- Any suited Kx where x>=9
- KQo; KJo
- QJs; QTs
- JTs

That's about 13% of the hands. Do you really think he was raising from early position with something worse than these?
