JJ Preflop = Im a MORAN

Augh. I know Im being result oriented but this just hurts and I have no one to blame but myself. I'll provide a rundown of my oh-so-awesome thought process:

Augh, I feel like such a moron. Seriously. I think I made a good fold PF after my opponent pushed. Im sure of that. But my stupid reraise PF is whats bothering me. My opponent was trying to be fancy with a big hand and I had a chance to bust him for his stupidity.

you are being results oriented. good fold. :)

that said, as to the initial re-raise, maybe if you have come up with a strategy, you should stick to it. if you are playing for a set as you said, then the more people in, the merrier actually. and there isn't much of a difference between 20 and 40 chips.... right?

Yes, results-oriented.

The PF EP limp with JJ was bad. That's a move best played shorthanded, if at all.

The re-raise is iffy but acceptable, IMO. With it being early and with limited reads, you don't know it it will work. But still possibly worth a shot for the reason you said.

The fold was the right play, of course.

If the 4th Jack wouldn't have hit, this whole thing probably wouldn't be an issue for you. It's easy to say "I shouldn't have reraised", but it wasn't a bad move. It was just the wrong move in the end. IMO, "bad" and "wrong" are different. You're only a "moron" if you make "bad" plays and this wasn't.
