Learning how to handle these 4-Flush situations is going to be an important part of my skill set.

The kind of situation I'm talking about,

Syfted sitting in seat 2 with 875.00
MoneyBRaT sitting in seat 4 with 1145.00[Dealer]
dinker1 sitting in seat 5 with 2830.00
dinker1 posted the small blind - 50.00
Syfted posted the big blind - 100.00

** Dealing cards to Syfted: 5c, 8c
MoneyBRaT called - 100.00
dinker1 called - 100.00
Syfted checked

** Dealing the flop: Ad, 3c, 7c
dinker1 bet - 100.00
Syfted went all-in - 875.00
MoneyBRaT folded
dinker1 called - 875.00
dinker1 shows:

** Dealing the turn: 5h

** Dealing the river: 8s

Was this the correct play?

His bet was strange, only 1/3 the size of the pot. Not an extremely strong bet, but it’s very possible he's holding an Ace, and a possibility for trips as well, though I'd think he'd play that faster, or slow play it- not make a small bet.

My All-in should be received as a sign of strength. If his Ace is weak, he might fold fearing kicker trouble, two pair, or trips. And if HE'S holding those hands, I'm about 33% to win it, right? So the All-in is the correct play?

Now, let's see a different situation:

Syfted sitting in seat 2 with 875.00
MoneyBRaT sitting in seat 4 with 1145.00[Dealer]
dinker1 sitting in seat 5 with 2830.00
dinker1 posted the small blind - 50.00
Syfted posted the big blind - 100.00

** Dealing cards to Syfted: 5c, 8c
MoneyBRaT called - 100.00
dinker1 called - 100.00
Syfted checked

** Dealing the flop: Ad, 3c, 7c
dinker1 checked
Syfted checked
MoneyBRaT checked

Here, I believe the WRONG play would be to check, yes? Though I can try to make my flush for free, everyone limped pre-flop. That check probably means drinker1 missed his hand. A pot-sized bet could steal the pot... and if I'm called, I can still make the flush.

Okay, so, let's say I make that bet, but...

** Dealing the flop: Ad, 3c, 7c
dinker1 checked
Syfted bet - 400.00
MoneyBRaT folded
dinker1 went all-in - 2730.00
Syfted ?

Now, drinker1 has not called my bet; he re-raised me all in. As small stack here, I think I shove… but if my stack were of similar size, this would really be extremely difficult. If my stack was of the same size, I probably should fold, yes?

I think the analysis here is spot on. If he hasn't got the Ace (which bearing in mind no raise pre-flop + 100 bet suggests not) then he is probably folding. If he does, you can hit flush. If you dont, you are out, but you're desperate here anyway.

Again, agree. You can check to try and hit the flush, but you're more likely to miss and would then possibly have to call a bet on the turn to see the river. You need the chips more that your opponents, and have still got fold equity, so stick the chips in on the semi-bluff

If it was the same size, yes fold. It isn't, so call.
