Or, "when sort-of-bluffs get called by worse hands".

pokerstars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (8 handed) converter

MP2 (t2265)
CO (t640)
Button (t7785)
SB (t2090)
BB (t1270)
UTG (t540)
UTG+1 (t2655)
Hero (t1895)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Ks, As.
UTG calls t50, UTG+1 calls t50, Hero raises to t200, 4 folds, BB calls t150, UTG calls t150, UTG+1 folds.

Flop: (t675) 8h, 9s, 4c (3 players)
BB bets t100, UTG calls t100, Hero calls t100.

Turn: (t975) Qh (3 players)
BB bets t100, UTG calls t100, Hero raises to t400, BB folds, UTG calls t140 (All-In).

River: (t1715) Js (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: t1715

Results below:
UTG has Kh 3s (high card, king).
Hero has Ks As (high card, ace).
Outcome: Hero wins t1715.

Yep, he called a preflop raise, flop bet, and a turn bet and raise with K3o for king high. I asked him if he had somewhere he urgently needed to be but he was already gone...

One more hand, some feedback on this one would be nice. Was just trying a routine blind/limper steal, do you call this?

Ended up finishing second for the third time in a row in these 45 player tourneys - the heads up are pretty much crapshoots though considering how high the blinds get (though I know HU is a weakness in my game - I'm far too aggressive). Lost with AA to 56 which flopped and turned 6s. :(

Heh, I remember a couple of weeks ago bluffing a guy off AAA (well he SAID he had AAA) because the board had 4 hearts and he didn't have the Ah. I had something like Kd3c for a mighty pair of 3s. :)

The danger of slowplaying them, I guess. I'd dig through Pokertracker for the hand history but I can't be bothered at the moment.

that first call is horrible. those guys need to be dragged in the street and shot for making stupid calls...good for u there, but the 12% of the time when he does catch a 3 from the flop is when u just want to choke a bitch.

^^

I win more 3-tabling them than playing 1 $5 or $10 at a time, easily.

How long does one of those $1 tourneys take to run through? Sounds like 3 or 4 tabling them may be a pretty good investment if you can manage them all.

Not too bad. 3 or 4 tables would make you a nice little chunk of profit.

this is hilarious, just 3 tabled on stars tongiht, my best finish was 19th, either i forgot to play poker or im not used to multi-tables. sitting in 2nd with a bully boy chip leader when my poket kings ran into aces. Made ace high flush was rivered by a house, and the last one just got blinded out and forced to make my move on 88 hand of the night (7 times never won) and got beat by some idiot that called me with a J 9.

But hey it only cost me 3bucks.
