End of game 31028216

Some history : - this is early in the tourney
Boobs_&_All rebuys earlier after going all in with K 10 preflop
Benz0r is the table captain - big reraises with any pair

With KK a reraise was correct but maybe it wasnt! ( i thought Benz0r would fold on my all in)

i figured my odds were approx 1:4 to win with the pot odds of about 1:2. So the all in was incorrect???

Did I get this all wrong?:confused::confused:

The only thing wrong with this hand is your first 3-bet. You should be raising up to at least 500 here. In a rebuy a shove is fine too as you'll get called with all types of garbage.

If you're asking whether getting KK all in preflop is wrong, then the answer is absolutely not. Especially not in a rebuy. I think it's safe to say KK should be a no-brainer stack PF aside from some odd bubble situations. I jam this pot as much as possible.

Agree with above ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^.

I'm sure it won't change anything because you're in the rebuy stage so there is no way Benz0r is folding JJ, whatever you do either raise to 500 or shove. It is true though that a shove is the best move because during this stage players will call with all sorts of hands and you almost have a better chance doubling up by shoving PF rather than raising and trying to get it in after seeing a flop.

You did nothing wrong, as Chuck said in a rebuy during the 1st hour its a no brainer, get it all-in every time you can PF with KK regardless of reads. If it doesn't hold just rebuy, but much more often than not it will.

Additionally, 1v1 odds
Against JJ: KK wins roughly 81 to 18% (JJ).
Against AQo: KK wins roughly 71 to 28% (AQo).

Just thought this could be helpful, in the sense that it'd let you draw your own conclusions.

As for putting your money in on the flop instead
Would you have folded on that flop?

If you have no read on the opponents, you can use my general rule of thumb:

Join a three-way pre-flop all in with KK and AA, but fold QQ and below (including AK).

But if you are playing with weak players you might loose up the standards a bit. Their money is yours to grab - don't let them wait too long.

I agree with everyone above. A bigger PF bet was needed here. The other's might have still called, but they'd have to think about it first. Other than that, your playing was good-the other guy got lucky-which happens in poker all the time unfortunately.
