well limp is ok preflop but ur bet sizing to get the other player off the hand is poor try raising more or just dont contest the pot
btw very risky reraising with that board

Well you tried to hit your set and didn't I'd just get out whether he's weak or trying to suck you in. He could've just hit his 2 way straight draw JQ after betting low to see a card.

You were right and it worked but you went from risking 100 to make a big hand to putting almost 40% of your chips on next to nothing

I don't like it personally. What are you trying to represent? A set is about the only thing that makes sense, since 2 pair or a big ace are probably raising preflop (depends on how you play however). And 88 is the only set that makes that much sense. Just a dangerous spot to try this. If you are intending to play for set value, then fold when you miss your set unless you have reads telling you otherwise (like villain often leads out in multiway pots and is willing to let hands go if they encounter resistance).

I just fail to see what you were trying to accomplish. You had hardly any money in the pot on the flop and were getting dangerously close to the point where your bluff had committed you with absolutely nothing.

Does anyone else fold the big bind to limpers as in this case? (see zilex)
Don't mean to hijack but it caught my eye.

He was sitting out and on PS this means his hand gets auto folded. Ofc nobody would ever intentionally fold the BB in a limped pot.
