Its such a bizarre line for Villain to take with any hand, that I just dont know what to put him on. The river changed nothing, unless he is bad enough to not understand the value of a flush or straight, when there are trips on the board. And given that he is an experienced player, that seems unlikely.
And when the river changed nothing, then why go from a super passive check-call of a small turn bet to a massive donk overbet jam on the river? Sure he could have a K and want max value, but then why take this particular line? He could have led the turn, check-raised the turn or check-raised the river. Any of that would make more sense than this particular line.
But maybe I am overthinking this, or he deliberately takes a bizarre line to confuse Hero. His line dont really make sense as a bluff either, so I can get behind Collin Moshmans suggestion to just let it go and find a better spot for the rest of our chips. Its such a wierd hand and kind of a 1-off, so in the long run it dont really matter, what we do. Its not a spot, which comes up every other tournament, we play. So if he bluffed us here, good for him.
