what, showing down a bluff with the hope of using the same betting on a monster hand a bit later on? Yeah, do that all the time, amazes me how often people fall for it :D

disclaimer: I've been playing poker for about 6 months... I might be talking complete garbage

Yes, but I meant with 5card draw... raising big pre-draw (Right wording? I don't really play 5 card draw much lol).. then not drawing any cards so they think you have a made hand like a flush or a straight or a full house... Then bet big afterwards.. and 9 outta 10 times they fold :D Then show it so that incase you actually do get a good hand you might get paid off big after the draw... like in the HH i posted :)

Haven't used that specific technique but then I've only played no limit hold em so far, sounds like a good one though :).

Having said that, be careful not to do it too often. If I was playing and saw you do that I'd make a note of that tactic very quickly, and that note would be at the top of my comments on you.

I regularly see in no limit do similar things, pushing either all in, or just overbetting a little too often with bluffs. They're my favourite people to target once I've spotted them. If I'm playing with an aggressive player doing something that I'll call them as soon as I've got a better than average hand. Sure I'll loose to a monster occasionally, but more often than not I'll take all their chips.

thats the one you saw, right?

myxiplx i do roughly the same thing at micro NL holdem. sit down with minimum, talk a lot, call every hand, and chase anything. lose all your buy-in on a draw(make sure you go all-in and show it when you lose). reload to maximum, then sit tight till you get the nuts, then go all-in, 9 times out of 10 someone will call you, then you get paid off.
simple!
