The game is a live freeroll. This is the last hand before the second break. (Middle to end stage) The TD has put 5k in pre flop as a "splash pot". The next hand the blind will be 1k/2k leaving me with 2m or so.

Two questions.

1. Considering I have a fairly accrurate read by my action that this pot will be limp called by (nearly) all the table should I have opted to fold or push instead of calling.

2. Is my flop action correct in a tournament setting?

I know this is unusual due to the nature of the tournament especially this being a "splash pot".

Thanks. So you think fold pre and look for one of the next 5 hands to get it all in? Under most circumstances I wouldn't even consider a call, but I thought it was nearly certain I'd get away with limping pre. And my plan was to shove the right boards. If it wasn't shoveworthy post flop I figured going into the next level with 2.5bb wasn't effectively too different than 3bb.

This is why I found this hand interesting enough to me to post.
