This was in the MDS freebuy satty with 2 tickets up for grabs.
Around 25-30 players while I'm the 3rd in chips.
So technically this is the hand with the chip leader

I'm quite puzzled to know whether this is a fold by anychance?
3bet size was a bit off

Never fold here. There are only 6 combos of Aces + you're not even very deep. Would be a huge waste of EV to fold. There's 25-30 runner left, so you need to almost definitely accumulate more chips to qualify. So, never pass up on this opportunity. 6 outs. Could have AK, 10s+ probably, and potentially other hands (so at least 41 combos). 6 of 41 are ahead of you. Even if you reduce it to AK and QQ+, that's 6 of 29 ahead of you.

Yah, can't fold here with that stack ever - if there were 3 players left and the 3rd stack was short... maybe.

Have a feeling it didn't work out, but I'm still hoping against hope you won this hand. :D

Shove every time. Your stack is not that big and you still have quite a ways to go to the payout spots. I would not be thinking ICM implications at this time.

I couldn't agree more.
Folding there KKs and letting yourself with a 25BB stack is a disaster while you could have a 66BB stack and go for the ticket.
If I were you my 3bet sizing would be bigger since v opens with a big stack utg and you are OOP.

and a subject that generates doubt because it also depends on the moment that is on the table after a bad would be afraid but if before it was well in the game question for the moment.

You could've just called after he re-raised you, but going all-in was definitely not a mistake.

I would never fold KK there

If you decided to fold KK in the BB against UTG, sure he could have AA but that is only 6 combos of hands that have you beat. You are ahead of all other hands so the chance that he has AA is slim. I assume you lost this hand which is why you asked the question.

But if you folded KK there then you are bleeding money imo because waiting for AA wont be coming around. Now if you had JJ or QQ in BB I would be reluctant to call the all in from UTG. Just my opinion :)

Hope you are doing well!:):ciao:

Hello,

If I had enough chips to fold my way to victory then yes I'll fold. In this situation you are still in the chip building stage of the satty and you are not in position to receive a ticket yet. That being said I like your play and think most of the time you will have positive results from your play in this spot.
