$Freeroll NLHE MTT: Private Freeroll- almost at the bubble facing shove pre

So there were 20 people left, top 10 get paid. Average stack was around 5k. The villian had only been at my table for an orbit or 2 and didn't have any solid read on him. Can I call here knowing that he is shoving wide?


I was one of the shorter stacks with around 2.5k (blinds were 250/500), I had villian covered, but only by a few hundred chips.

Villian is UTG and shoves. My thinking was that he was shoving light here and trying to either double up before the blinds reached him or steal blinds.

I had AQo and there were 2 folds in front of me. Only 7 people at table.

Is this an easy shove?

Although villains showing range will be a bit narrowed being utg this is an easy shove pre imo.

Yea, although honestly I was thinking in this particular situation he was probably shoving even wider UTG than in any other position. The next hand he will be big blind and he would much prefer doubling up before posting the big blind.

Yea I wanted to double check (my poker skills/knowledge still below average), but I figured I made the right move here. Guy had A8 so I had him crushed, naturally the board comes 56Q74 and I was down to practically nothing. Thanks for the insight.
